My family is like a shoe,
we all play a part.
My dad is the sole,
is there for protection and support.
My mom is the stiching,
she holds us all together.
My brother is the tongue,
annoying, and doesn't play a big part.
My sister is the laces,
she is important but in some situations not needed.
I am the design on the outside,

Main idea:
-This song is about a guy who likes a girl and wonders why she doesn't like him back. He asks her what it is that's wrong with him and says he's willing to change and can be anything she likes. He realizes that she's not going to like him because he doesn't live up to everyone elses expectations.

He is asking this girl what she thinks about him. He wants to know if she likes him or if he disgusts her.

He is telling her that he can be anything she likes though he is kind of shy. He can be productive and a good person or the complete opposite. He wants to know why she doesn't like him the way he is and why she is making him try to make her like him.

This guy has tried to be like all these different people but none of them worked for him. He's gone identity mad and has all these different identities that aren't really him just so this girl will like him.

He is desperate for this girl to like him. He is asking her suggestions of what he should do to make her like him. He asks why she doesn't like him or herself. She can't like someone else if she doesn't like herself. If he helps her like herself then maybe she would like him.

He is telling her that she doesn't like him because he isn't up to everyone's expectations. She says other wise that it's what she wants. He says tell yourself what ever you want but you only want what everyone else wants and what everyone else says what's best for you.

       My name is who I am. I may not always be the best person in the world but, my name means to try my hardest everyday. I set personal goals and try to beat myself rather than trying to keep up with someone else. My name means to be me and no one else. My name means to find the good things in life rather then the bad. To put on a smile when things are hard and to push through. I know what I stand for and what my values are. My name means to never back down and forget what I stand for.
       To my family my name means being a superb daughter and sister. It also means being the peacemaker in the house. To them I am also a comforter and the one that makes everyone smile. To my friends my name is the only word to describe me. I am the crazy, carefree one with a very unique personality. Where ever I am, my name gives me a very good reputation. I chose John Lithgow for the part of Reverend Parris. Reverend Parris is a church minister. The church is what comes first in his life.  John Lithgow as played the part of a church minister before so I thought that he would be perfect for this part.

Whoopi Goldberg

Tituba
I chose Whoopi Goldberg for the part of Tituba. Tituba is Reverend Parris's slave from Barbados. Tituba was raised learning different things like voodoo and making charms. The town looks on her ways as withcraft. I chose Whoopi because her features are what I imagined Tituba to look like and she is a very talented actress.

Ashley Tisdale

 Abigail Williams
Abigail Williams is described as young and beautiful. Abby is also seductive and willing to do anything to get what she wants. I chose Ashley Tisdale for this part because she has played the role of main characters before and has played parts where she is very cunning and devious just like abby. Ashley is young and beautiful just like Abby is described.

Wallace Shawn

 Thomas Putnam
Thomas Putnam is a wealthy land owner who is always wanting more land. He uses the witch trials for his own gain. In my mind Thomas would look very similar to Wallace Shawn. I chose Wallace Shawn because of his physical attributes and because he is a wonderul actor.

Joan Cusack

 Goody Putnam
Goody Putnam has had eight babies and all of them but one died shortly after birth. Goody Putnam believes the reason her babies died was because her midwives were witches. Goody Putnam seems like she's an ornery lady. I chose Joan Cusack because she looks like she could be kind of ornery at times. She has also played parts that were similar to Goody Putnam's character.

Michael Landon

 John Proctor
John Proctor is a farmer just outside of town. He has a good name in the town and doesn't want a bad reputation so he keeps his affair with Abigail a secret. Michael Landon has played the part of a farmer before and he just has all the farmer features in his face and body build.

Sandra Bullock

 Elizabeth Proctor
I chose Sandra Bullock for Elizabeth Proctor. Elizabeth is very honest and virtueous. She is also kind of a cold women and seems kind of lonely. Sandra Bullock is perfect for this part because she has played many different parts that fit the characteristics of Elizabeth.

Alexis Bledel

 Mary Warren
Mary Warren works for the Proctors. She is a quiet, kind of shy, seventeen year old girl who just follows the crowd. I chose Alexis Bledel for this part. Alexis has a soft shy look just like Mary. Naturally she has a quiet voice she works out perfectly for Mary Warren.

Meryl Streep

 Rebecca Nurse
Rebecca Nurse is described as an older lady who has many children and grandchildren. She is know through out town for her many charities. I chose Meryl Streep for the part of Rebecca Nurse. Meryl Streep is an older lady like Rebecca was described and she has played parts where she is a mother or motherly figure.
  
 

Jeff Daniels

Reverend Hale
Reverend Hale is a young Minister from Beverly. He is also a witchcraft expert which is why he was called into town. I chose Jeff Daniels because he is a very good actor. Also he has a minister look to his face which makes him perfect for this part.
  

If You Commit a Sin Are You a Bad Person?

         Think of a time when you have done something wrong. Perhaps you viewed it as a sin, perhaps you didn't. Either way you probably don't see yourself as a bad person. If you commit a sin you are not a bad person because everyone makes mistakes, what some people view as a sin others do not, or your protective instincts kicked in and you did it out of defense.
          Everyone makes mistakes. It's like if you perform poorly on a test, it doesn't mean that you are stupid. If you commit a sin you are not a bad person. Everyone has or will commit at least one sin in their life time, but most people on this earth are not bad people.
          If you grew up in a place where sin was common, you would not know anything other than sin. If you did not know any better, in your mind you're not doing anything wrong. In order to be a bad person, you have to have done something wrong, for there to be wrong, there has to be right, if you don't know what is right, wrong cannot exist. Bad can't exist without wrong. Therefore you cannot be a bad person if you know nothing more than wrong.
         When someone offends you, you'd do something, not thinking, to defend yourself. If someone was picking a fight with you and you just happened to have a weapon on you, chances are that out of reflex you would use that weapon on them. If you seriously injured them, I'd consider that a sin. You're not a bad person because you don't usually seriously injure people on a regular basis. It was in protection to yourself.
          You are not a bad person if you commit a sin. Everyone makes mistakes, if you committed a sin as an honest mistake you're not a bad person. If you grew up only knowing sin you're not a bad person. If you don't know whats right then you would not know that what you were doing was wrong so you're not a bad person. When you are in a situation where you don't know what to do so out of reflex you do something you wouldn't normally do to protect yourself, you're not a bad person because it was in defense. If you commit a sin you are not a bad person because the sin could have been in defense, it was an honest mistake, or you don't know whats right so in your mind your not sinning.

My Name is Brooke.
I love to watch football even though I don't understand everything about it, the atmosphere at a football game is just inviting to me. I have recently developed an obsession with Dr. Pepper. I absolutely love it! The carbonation  and 23 delicious flavors have a party in my mouth and when I'm drinking it, it puts me in a happy mood. I love being at a football game with a can of Dr. Pepper. In this situation it seems as if everything in the world is perfect.
